Trust Services.

Trusts can be complicated vehicles to understand, and the legislative framework they operate within is evolving at a rapid pace. Key benefits from having the right trust structure in place include asset and inheritance protection e.g. from property relationship or third-party claims.

It is important that trusts are reviewed to ensure current legislative requirements are met, and that the trust continues to fulfil the purpose for which it was originally created.

Trust Review Services

Our Trust Review Service can help assess the current position of an existing trust, and the role of its trustees. If you are considering the establishment of a new trust, we can assist with your decision making and planning.

Franklin Trustee Services

Campbell Tyson Limited provides its independent trustee services through Franklin Trustee Services (FTS). The directors of Campbell Tyson are the same directors of Franklin Trustee Services.

  • An independent trustee is an impartial trustee who does not benefit from the trust’s assets. Unlike trustees who have an interest in the trust, an independent trustee is more likely to be fair and equitable in making any decisions for the trust, due to lack of personal gain or personal benefit from such a decision.

An independent trustee can be a family friend or a professional person, such as an accountant or lawyer.

It is important to appoint an independent trustee that:

    • You trust will act in the best interest of your trust and the beneficiaries.

    • Who knows the obligations of a trustee and is aware of any changes in legislation and requirements for the trusts.

If you would like to speak to us about an existing trust, or if you are considering a new trust, you can contact us by email or phone +64 9 238 9219.

Knowing what support and advice you need can be tricky business.

If you’d like more information on how we can help you, or discuss your unique needs, please get in touch with us. We’d love to hear from you.
